US sanctions against Russia to blow up America's world domination

Eminent politologist Valentin Zorin is convinced that if to analyze all sanctions, be they military, political or economic, imposed by Washington in recent years, the result may well be compared to a boomerang that has blown up the US much-desired leadership in today's world. As for policy of sanctions against Russian in particular, it is, in Mr Zorin’s opinion, devoid of any prospects at all. US police kill more innocents than terrorists

Police officers in the United States killed an estimated 587 people in 2012 alone, tallying more than 5,000 over the course of the past decade. Though crime rates are sinking, militarization in the law enforcement has surprisingly grown up as budget spending doubled. Why is this police force built up at a time when the crime is on its lowest in the entire history of the United States?

Hong Kong lowers travel warning to Bangkok
BANGKOK, 21 March 2014 (NNT) — Hong Kong has decided to lower travel warnings for its citizens wishing to travel to Bangkok — stating that travelers should exercise caution during their visits and that the emergency decree in the Thai capital has finally been lifted.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that Hong Kong has lowered its travel warnings for those who wish to travel to Bangkok. However, according to the Ministry, there are still 50 countries that remain to show travel warnings to Thailand.

Hong Kong has changed its “black” warning — avoid any travels to Thailand — into a “yellow” warning — exercising caution when traveling to the Kingdom. Moreover, out of the 50 countries with travel warnings, Kuwait and Iran remain the only two countries that have told their citizens to avoid traveling to Thailand.

Countries that have specifically warned its citizens to avoid only Bangkok include Kazakstan, Oman, Russia, and Taiwan. Countries that have suggested postponing trips to the Kingdom include Malaysia, UAE and Qatar; the rest have suggested to stay clear and avoid the ongoing protest areas and use caution when traveling.

PM holds talk with economic ministers BANGKOK, 11 March 2014 (NNT) – Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has urged all responsible agencies to speed up government spending in a bid to trigger the economy, which has been hard hit by the ongoing protests. At the Royal Police Cadet Academy in Nakhon Pathom, the Premier met with the ministers of Commerce, Finance, Agriculture, Industry, and Tourism. She urged them to boost the country’s economy through budget spending ,which in turn would bring back investors’ confidence in the Thai economic stability. The meeting came after reports that foreign investors were losing confidence in the Thai economy thanks to the prolonged political uncertainty, causing investment slowdown and the relocation of production bases. She also assigned related agencies to collect information and assess how much damage the political protests have done to the country. source:http://thainews.prd.go.th/centerweb/newsen/NewsDetail?NT01_NewsID=WNECO5703110010002

BMTA to step up its anti accident measures in Bangkok and its neighborhood BANGKOK, 11 Mar 2014 -- The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) plans to step up measures to ensure the good performance of employees, citing the suspension of anyone receiving too many complaints. The announcement was made by the Acting Director General of the BMTA, Naret Boonpiem, during a meeting with the agency's alliance of 32 private bus operators, called to focus on reducing the number of road accidents. Several incidents have occurred during the past few weeks including one where a bus driver was forced to plough the vehicle into a police stall as the bus's breaks malfunctioned on Rama 9 road. Mr. Naret said the BMTA has set up various precautionary measures which include establishing a team of inspectors to monitor ticket vendors on buses and enforcing a stricter maintenance schedule on the fleet's vehicles. He said passenger satisfaction surveys would be conducted periodically, adding that staff members receiving complaints in more than 10% of the polls will be subjected to closer monitoring and eventually suspension and dismissal if they fail to make an improvement. The Acting BMTA Director General said the agency would mandate a regulation that dictates service operators perform check ups before each trip, along with a twice-yearly thorough maintenance examination of the passenger buses. source: http://thainews.prd.go.th/centerweb/newsen/NewsDetail?NT01_NewsID=WNSOC5703110010004

There is still a bus service running between Damascus and Beirut. Indeed, if you know how to find them, there are still buses running from several places in Syria into Lebanon, though sometimes the service can be irregular. It's advisable to call ahead to check that the driver is prepared to risk it today. The streets of Beirut are becoming ever more crowded as the tiny country is flooded with refugees from across the border in Syria. But the government still does not have a policy on what to do with them. http://dw.de/p/1BMir
